One of the most tenured employees at Affinity Express Philippines, Charm Artiaga was hired in October of 2007 and serves as manager of the S.P.E.E.D. (Services and Products Engineered for Excellence and Development) Team. She assists in the client on-boarding process to ensure smooth transitions and profitability and provides leadership and direction to the Operations Support Group (OSG) in generating reports that aim to standardize and improve our applications and procedures. In other words, Charm is an important contributor to our objective of being a process-driven company.

Typically, Charm’s day starts with reviewing and responding to urgent e-mails and making lists of tasks which, in most cases, involves pricing/costing analyses requested by the Sales Team. She also spends time mentoring and overseeing the OSG in preparation for creating daily, weekly and monthly reports on business operations.

Since she came to Affinity Express, Charm has learned the value of looking at things from a broader perspective. She says:

Working on the S.P.E.E.D. Team provides me with exposure to the financial side of the business and gives me the opportunity to interface with all departments throughout the organization.

Charm is proud to have been involved with the creation and enhancement of billing templates for Accounting, which resulted in more efficient invoicing. Charm prepared various internal reports for Operations to improve and recognize both individual and team productivity and accuracy. Another accomplishment was the development of Affinity Express standard rate cards.

Having worked in operations for quite some time prior to joining Affinity Express, Charm made a major career switch when she joined our company. At first, she found it rather unusual to interface with the needs of departments including Sales, HR, IT, Accounting and Finance. Added to this was the fact that she had to learn financial calculations and costing/pricing analyses to perform her job. She is extremely grateful that she has Noel Bedayo as her boss and mentor.

Charm was born and raised in the small town of Goa, province of Camarines Sur, and graduated from Adamson University, Manila, with a degree of bachelor of science in computer engineering. She is married and has two children. Charm and her husband like to spend as much quality time as they can with their kids while they are still in their pre-teens. Family weekends involve watching movies, dining out, strolling in malls, going to church, travelling out of town or just staying home together.
